BarbellHQ coach dashboard showing daily macros, water intake, and meal breakdown

Your athletes have their training program. We handle everything else.

Nutrition, body weight, progress photos, consistency — all in one place, with the coach view built in.

What your club gets

Athlete view of daily macros logged by meal with food search and barcode scan

Your athletes log. You see it.

Athletes log meals in seconds from a phone. You see who's on target and who's drifting — before they have to tell you. Multi-source food search (USDA, FatSecret, Nutritionix, Open Food Facts), barcode scanning, and AI label scanning mean "I couldn't find the food" stops being an excuse.

Coach roster dashboard with compliance, streaks, and per-athlete trends

See the whole roster at once

Your dashboard flags who logged today, who's consistent, whose compliance is slipping, and whose check-in is due. Open any athlete for a 7-day macro view, 30-day weight trend, your own coach notes, and their current targets. Impersonate to see exactly what they see.

Weight tracking page with front/side/back progress photo gallery over time

Close the loop between fork and physique

Athletes log body weight and snap front / side / back progress photos. You see the trend line alongside their macros — the story the scale alone won't tell. Private S3 storage, visible only to the athlete and their coach.

What's next on the roadmap

Everything above is already live. Here's what we're building next:

Why BarbellHQ

Most nutrition apps are built for individuals. BarbellHQ is built for teams and the coaches who run them. Your athletes get a tool they actually use because it's fast, coach-aware, and designed around how strength athletes eat — not generic calorie counting.

Most coaching platforms focus on programming. BarbellHQ handles everything else — the nutrition, body composition, consistency, and accountability that programming platforms don't touch.

The two work together. Your athletes use their coaching platform for workouts, and BarbellHQ for what happens between them. One athlete, two tools that complement — not compete.

What we're not

BarbellHQ doesn't do workout programming, video analysis, or session delivery. Great tools already exist for that, and your athletes are probably already using one. We're the other half — the nutrition, body composition, and accountability layer that those platforms don't touch. The two work better together than either does alone.

What it covers

For coaches

  • Roster dashboard with compliance, streaks, and auto-flags for athletes who need a check-in
  • Per-athlete deep dive: macro history, weight trend, progress photos, your private notes
  • Set macro targets and check-in dates per athlete
  • Multi-tenant club with your own subdomain, branding, and member roles
  • Invite athletes by email or bulk CSV; approve, transfer, or offboard any time
  • Impersonate any member to see exactly what they see

For athletes

  • Log meals in under 10 seconds — search, barcode, or snap a nutrition label and let AI read it
  • Daily macros against targets your coach can see
  • Body weight tracking in lbs or kg with a trend line on your dashboard
  • Front / side / back progress photos build into a private gallery over time
  • Water intake, built-in macro calculator, custom foods and saved meals
  • Streaks, badges, and a consistency score that rewards showing up
  • Works on any phone — add to home screen, launches like an app

Built for every strength sport

Whether you coach Olympic lifters managing weight classes, powerlifters peaking for a meet, CrossFitters dialing in performance nutrition, or general S&C athletes building habits — the platform adapts to how your team trains and eats.

Built by an Olympic weightlifting coach. Designed to serve all strength sports.

Simple pricing for the platform

Free during invite-only early access. When billing launches on June 1, 2026: club plans start at $40/month for up to 20 athletes ($1/month per additional athlete, +$5/month per additional coach seat). Solo lifters without a club are $10/month. Priced for athletes who pay out of their own pocket, because most lifters do.

Questions

BarbellHQ is the nutrition and athlete management platform for strength sports clubs. Your athletes log macros, body weight, and progress photos. You see their roster-wide compliance, trends, and goals from a single coach dashboard. Think of it as the home base for everything that happens outside the training program itself.
Most coaching platforms focus on programming — workouts, video analysis, session logging. BarbellHQ handles everything else: nutrition, body composition, consistency, and the kind of coach-athlete accountability that programming tools don't touch. The two are complementary. Your athletes use their coaching platform for workouts and BarbellHQ for nutrition — one athlete, two tools that work together rather than compete.
No app store download needed. BarbellHQ is a web app — your athletes visit your club's URL (e.g., yourclub.thebarbellhq.club), sign in, and start tracking. For an app-like experience, they can save it to their home screen. On iPhone: open your club URL in Safari, tap the Share button (square with arrow), then "Add to Home Screen." On Android: open it in Chrome, tap the three-dot menu, then "Add to Home Screen" or "Install app." It'll launch full-screen just like a native app.
If you have fewer than about 10 athletes, having each person sign up as a solo lifter might be the most cost-effective option. The trade-off is that you won't have coach-level visibility into their progress from a single dashboard. Once your group grows or you want that oversight, upgrading to a club plan is seamless — we can migrate everyone over without losing any data.
Yes. Sign up as a solo lifter free for the first month and use all the tracking features. When you're ready to bring your athletes on, start a club and invite them. Your data comes with you.
Each club's data is isolated — coaches only see their own athletes. We use encrypted connections, encrypted database storage, and AWS infrastructure with industry-standard security. We never share or sell athlete data. Progress photos are stored in private S3 buckets accessible only to the athlete and their coach.
You can export your member data (CSV) at any time from the admin panel. If you cancel your club, you choose: migrate members to solo accounts (they keep their data) or delete everything. We don't hold your data hostage.
No. BarbellHQ works for any strength sport — Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, CrossFit, general S&C, and rehab. The platform doesn't care what sport you do; the coach dashboard, nutrition tracking, and roster tools work the same whether you're managing a weightlifting team peaking for a meet, a CrossFit box dialing in performance nutrition, or a mixed-roster coaching practice. The founder is an Olympic weightlifting coach — that's where the product started, but it was built from day one to serve all strength athletes.
